I am 5'6, 180#, 42in chest, the medium fit me perfectly. This shirt is form fitting like a compression shirt. I have used it for both pool and lake use in the sun. Dried quickly and I didn't notice I was wearing it during the day. It didn't chafe and the SPF was a bonus. Very comfortable swim wear.
